Errands ran long and there were a lot of people on the road.
Bonus that Civic had an impressive 1 of 5 (or three? ) brake lights working. So rare to see the 3rd brake light out it is kind of impressive. Also feels intentional as I am like 80% sure that car informs you when a brake light is out.

The gas line because gas prices are going back up :/
EDIT: just blew up the pic to see it full size
the smaller view makes it look like a gas station somehow

When I lived in NM, there were so many cars with a non-functioning third brake light that it had to be intentional. Newer cars, too. I don’t know why that intention exists, though.

Nah, I don’t think it’s intentional. CHMSLs usually use shitty 194 or 922 mini bulbs, and unlike taillights give no indication when they’re out.

People forgot how to drive... and they weren’t very good to begin with.

I will say that most pickup drivers I’ve alerted to burnt-out CHMSLs range from indifferent to outright annoyed that I interrupted their distracted driving.

Today I told someone their turn signal was burnt out and was pleasantly surprised that they thanked me for letting them know

Tulsa, for me was pretty sparse. But granted I mostly drive around downtown. Been weird seeing all the people now moving about.

“ Oh no... people are returning to the roads... those are MY public roads.”
That’s the internal commentary coursing through my mind as I’ve been on drives these last two weeks. I miss empty backroads.
